Research, technology transfer and training for the leather supply chain: these are the areas in which POTECO (Polo Tecnologico Conciario - Tanning Technological Center)  operates, a fundamental scientific support for the growth of the entire district of Santa Croce sull’Arno and its companies.

POTECO  is constantly engaged in research projects and in study activities to enhance new process and product solutions in a continuous experimentation that allows the district to be abreast or even anticipate market trends, in terms of quality and fashion-content.

The Polo Tecnologico Conciario promotes many activities that aim to form and update the different professionalism employed in the leather supply chain and the specialization of the technical staff through a diversified offer, in the Tanning and footwear, chemical, engineering and fashion sectors.

A tannery and a shoe factory have been recreated within POTECO for experimentation and training purposes.
