From the national school of chemistry to Aquarno, the water treatment plant which hosted last Friday the visit of some teachers of the national summer school of pedagogical and educational research, arranged by the Division of Education of the Italian Chemical Society.
About 20 teachers from Universities and high schools throughout Italy, those who participated in a working session on the evolution of water treatment and on the importance of the water treatment processes for the tanning sector. The group was composed of the 90 teachers who participated in the articulated work planning promoted within the Fourth National School of Chemistry, from the 4th to 7th of September and carried out at the ITC Cattaneo in San Miniato, one of the partner of the event. As a backdrop, chemistry, declined in all its applications.
From the structural aspects to the treatment potentialities of the plant, where the teachers delved into several issues related to Aquarno, which came into operation in 1974, five years before the law provision and today its capacity to reduce the incoming pollutant load by almost 98%. The working group at Aquarno was welcomed by the deputy director of Assoconciatori, Marco Cavallini, together with Andrea Giachi, Head of Research and Development.
