New challenges, important results achieved and next objectives to be attained, in the interest not only of the tanning companies, but of an entire district, which in those companies finds one of the most representative actors for the fate of the territory, and in Assoconciatori, 150 tanneries located in the entire district, has one of its players of reference.
The Assoconciatori annual meeting, held on Tuesday, 29th May, was also an opportunity to highlight the dialogue between the various representatives of the local socio-economic fabric present at the event: with the tanning entrepreneurs, among others, institutions, world of credit, training and trade union representations.
In the background, the synthesis of a year that saw the Association of Tanners involved on several fronts in supporting its associated companies, as recalled by its president Alessandro Francioni while he was reading the report by the association: from the steps forward in the new industrial investments, such as the ongoing extensions of the water treatment plant Aquarno, the powerful heart of the "Tubone" project, the commitment to research, with the new projects developed in Polo Tecnologico, highlighting the need for interventions for the benefit of tanneries, often stressed by short-sighted and penalising policies, and not being able to disregard a constant attention to the trend of the markets, in the wake of a delicate political scenario both at international and local level.
It is all in that "let us work in peace" pronounced by the president Francioni during the assembly, what the association asks, giving voice to a whole compartment that is confirmed for years among the most prosperous industrial realities in the region, and which is asking simply greater and more effective safeguards to allow the tanning entrepreneurs to be able to continue working at their best.
During the assembly room also to the topic of communication, with the preview of the new project sponsored by the Associazione Conciatori. «The tanning district of Santa Croce Sull'arno-says the president Francioni-expresses a whole series of issues in respect of which the market and the media system are today particularly sensitive.
